Being a Good Traveller
The travelling part of your holiday can have the most significant environmental impact.

Choosing the lowest carbon transport alternative helps reduce emissions and can add another positive angle to your Australian vacation experience.

Just like Slow Food is about bringing you delicious local recipes from the nearby fields (and so cutting out the negative issues to do with transportation and mass market standardisation), so Slow Travel lets you get back in touch with a slower pace of life, chat with the locals and enjoy peace of mind.

Travelling down to Kangaroo Valley & South Coast NSW Australia

  • Railway - Train Travel: You can travel to our region on the NSW South Coast Line by train from Sydney's Central Station to Berry (one stop before Bomaderry/Nowra). The journey takes 21/2 hours and goes through the Sydney Royal National Park and then traces the coastline which makes a very picturesque journey.
  • Coach - Travelling By Bus: Premier Coaches travel along the Australian East Coast between Sydney and Melbourne several times a day to Berry. You can connect with this coach service at Central Station in Sydney (there are also links from the domestic and international airport).
  • Travel Notes: Free courtesy transfers from either train or bus stops in Berry to your Kangaroo Valley Accommodation can be arranged. If you wish to see attractions outside Kangaroo Valley you will need use of a car we recommend the use of a Eco-Friendly Hybrid Car Hire with Low Carbon Emission for your Australian tours.
